eightyWon's CPC mockup feedback thread (2 Viewers)

Anyone with CPC customs experience have comments on how a textured inlay background like this would play? I know the process used to set the inlay creates a slight texture, just wondering how these would interact (this began as an experiment in giving the inlay an aged look):

Ah thanks for this. I've been exporting at 600dpi. I'll adjust.

It depends on which mold. The CSQ inlays are smoother than others. This will look good. But you will want more separation from the city name and the edge of the inlay. @timinater has a post somewhere with really good inlay template files of various types.

Also, Davis is fine with 600dpi but it won’t improve the print.

How distressed is too distressed?

Your levels are out of whack on the $20, but it looks great.
It's my least favorite chip. I toyed with 414 but it looks busier or more crowded than 6d18 for some reason.

We'll see. I missed the CSQ cutoff for the next run so I've basically got like 10 years to sort this out lol

Also looking for feedback on an updated version of the inlay. Does the gap between Social and Club bother anyone else? Any tips?

Seems odd.

If you dropped Social, keep Club right, and nudge the denomination left, then “The Smoking Ape Club” has a geometric flow from top left to lower right. How would that sit with you?

Might also become “The SAC.”

"The SAC" :ROFLMAO:

Back to monkey even though my wife busts my balls that it's not a monkey.

New font, better, worse, who gives a shit?

Totally a monkey- we’re just witnessing the side effects of smoking a carton a day for 5 years. ;)

These are my favorite kind of inlay designs. Location small in black on the bottom of the inlay, legible denom in red, casino name in an interesting font, and an interesting icon above. Classy

I know I said I'm down with ditching "the" and "club" and I still am down and gonna mock that up, but I did these first and I'm pretty corn-dog excited about this inlay layout:

I like this one, actually. Maybe the gap can be closed by moving the "Club" part so that the downward stroke on "p" of "Ape" can flow into the "b" of "Club"?

Not sure how I missed the repeating very similar red and blue 18 spots in that last lineup

any spot color suggestions for the 5 or the hundo?

edit: thinking I'm pretty set on the 5 colors, maybe something like this would work:
