Hi All,
Moving sale shortly!

I will be selling everything purchased here in the next week or two.
10 full racks. One partial rack, 2 small sample sets.

Do you suggest one post and multiple listing bullets, leveraging Dibs system?
(I've found this method frustrating in the past - and handling 10 listings might become confusing?)

Or perhaps individual listing via auction?
One winner. Time based. Seems easier?

Appreciate your insights.
Have a great day!

IT depends if you offer individual prices and additional discounts for the entire lot.
But if it is not the case, I think for buyers is easier in separate posts.

Just my opinion, but I'm not an expert.

The answer just depends on how much work you want to put in and/or how many headaches you're willing to endure.

If I were liquidating an entire collection, I'd list the entire lot by line item in a single classified listing. I'd write the ad to say that the any 'dibs' would be taken as a commitment to buy, but for the first 24 hours priority will be given to anyone who buys the entire lot. After that, priority will be given to those who commit to buying multiple line items.

Selling the entire lot would obviously be easiest. Failing that, I'd manage the ad by removing sold items AND updating the title of the ad to accurately reflect what's still for sale.

My suggestion is to just send everything straight to me. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

YESTERDAY WAS MY BIRTHDAY BTW!!!!

Hate this. I purposely increased purchase intentions on Line Items in similar sales threads, and still got overlooked. Can't imagine it was ill intended, but overwhelming for the Seller, and infuriating as a Buyer.

Just post your sales in separate threads. Easier to follow for everyone. Not sure of the solution for Dibs, which is pretty lame, but if you know your items are going to get plenty of interest the draws, are at least fair.

Very helpful. Thank you!

Never liked the 'dibs' system. But it may be easiest. Thank you!

I'll be posting soon....I'm sure you could search my username and see the items I 'Dibbed' (is that a word?)
I might even post links back to the original post. That would make it fairly easy for me!
Wow, you bought chips from @Poppin92... and actually received them?? I'm impressed. :ROFLMAO:

Listings with multiple items may stay up on the notification list longer, since you will have more people commenting/dibsing the thread, but that can get annoying to those not interested. Personally I enjoy mega sale threads, but after a few days you might want to close it and list the remainders individually.

Thank you! I think this will most likely be the route.

Sounds good. The one thing I should have added is, if any of the chips are especially rare/choice, and you want to maximize value, you might want to separate those out in an auction.

It seems that especially choice chips are going for truly astonishing auction prices... whereas with ordinary sales, you are setting the price (and that may get negotiated down). OTOH there is more doubt/suspense/possible risk in an auction, if they happen to sell low.

I haven’t gone the auction route myself, but it’s just something to consider for any potentially explosive items.

That's 10x as much work to create the listings and 10x the number of conversations he'd need to monitor. Asking a bit much IMO.
I'd suggest it's the same amount of conversations, in an ordered manner, but 10 different Post headings for sure.

It's a bit of extra work to update the original post with what's sold and what's still available, but it's a BIG help to anyone who's reading your ad. It might also help you keep things organized for your own benefit. I highly encourage it. Also, when you remove something, please leave the pictures and description etc in place, but simply strike through them and add SOLD afterwards; it's a big benefit to future buyers and sellers to be able to look through past sales and see what was sold, what it looked like, and how much it was listed for. Something like this:

Amazing find, rare chips, perfect breakdown for a tournament, $500 takes the whole set - SOLD to @Josh Kifer
