I'm thinking about relabeling my old custom chips. Those weren't expensive at all. That's why I want to keep the price low... There will also be a custom chipset by chiplab in the making too.

Here's my question.
Is there somebody who has labeled his chips with self printed labels from onlinelabels.com?
Please share your experiences with me.
At the moment, I can not afford more expensive options and I need them pretty quickly...
Thank you

How many chips are you labeling? If you're labeling less than 500 chips it would cost the same to have @Gear labels made for you, and I believe the cost is similar to have @ABC Gifts and Awards labels made for you, who are both reputable vendors here.

Also, why get your custom set from chiplab? There are many better, cheaper options out there, such as the cards mold ceramics, which only cost about $0.30/chip, and are much nicer than the crappy slugged plastics chiplab sells.

No experience with them, but I know some people here have recently had good results with stickermule, and I think they have a pretty quick turnaround if you need it soon

At first, thank you for your quick response

I want to lable 3 sets of 500 each. These are crappy plastics but would be great for a 3 table tournament that I'll host soon for my friends. The chips are the same, but with different labels on them. So I want them all to be one large set.

I got a sample set from chiplab and kinda fell in love with the 3 tone gem clay option they have. To be true, I'm pretty new to this whole world of chips. Till now I only own those crappy plastic metal insert thingies. As far as I can tell, I don't like the ceramics. But I have only watched some videos on YouTube about it. To get samples from different manufactures is a little expensive since I live in Germany and the shipping ist always $30 to $60 per sample set I order. As I mentioned before... At the moment I want to keep the price low...

Already read the sticker mule thread by danwmson. It's already a consideration. There are soo much options from different manufacturers... It's not easy...

Chiplab is not a good deal. Spend some time to do some research here.

Thank you! Have already spent much time on their webside. What a waste of time when the chips turn out to be useless.

You could just have a designer copy the spot designs and put them on the cards mold chips with your own custom "inlay" design. And you have the freedom to change spot patterns and color combinations if you feel like it. Plus, it would be much cheaper, and the chips stack and feel much better. Chiplab's chips are very low quality, and very overpriced. For 1000 of them you'd be paying $0.60/chip, which is double the amount you would for cards mold chips.

Do they have a website? I have not found anything about cards mold chips

They don't. You can ask @SeanGecko if you want their contact info, though most chips ordered from them are ordered in big group buys here on PCF to lower the pricing, so you wouldn't really need to contact them yourself. There's a group buy taking interest here:

and I'm sure the people there can field your questions about it better than I can:

I have labeled thousands of chips for my poker club, I used white Matt labels for inkjet and sprayed them with the Krylon Matt finish. The chips were played monthly and and still going a decade later.
I am now utilizing the Matte finish labels and adding the clear laminate over top, printing with the Maestro label designer online app and using the cricut cutter to make custom sized. These will most likely last forever.
I won’t use the vinyl labels, they don’t last like the Matt paper labels. Online labels are very good as long as you pick the correct material. Best of luck

Just some pictures, if you need more pics of labels I have done just ask and I will take photos.

This thread has some info

My experience with onlinelabels.com, summarized: A good candidate for over labeling chip. Tough to beat for the price, and their service was quite good (although not as good as Sticker Mule). In the speed-quality-cost triad, onlinelabels represents choosing speed and cost and making a modest compromise on quality, imo (especially compared to Gear).

Here are some others I did with online labels, when I finish with my latest project utilizing the clear laminate over the matte paper label I will post pics. Also planning on relabeling my Milanos and another China clay set I am mulling over. I may use Gear depending on his timetables.
For me it’s not a cost, it’s fun designing and labeling. Also seeing what others come up with, DMoney’s design looks really nice, it inspires.
