Looking to find & buy as few as 1 and up to 3-4 old cardroom/illegal casino chips made on the CSQ mold from during the first couple of decades of the use of that mold. Per David Spragg, I believe that to be the 1930's/1940's. He told me that most of the use of this mold was for hot-stamping and tend to be plain/no spots. I am having a new CSQ set made at CPC as a gift for my BIL and when I give it to him I'd love to have a couple obsolete/original CSQ chips to show him the historical perspective of the mold. I think that adds so much to the chipset and what will (hopefully) be a great deal of sentimental value (not to mention actual value!) for him towards the chips.
I don't know how hard/easy these are to locate and acquire but I'm betting there are some chip experts on this site that can lead me there:)

Thanks in advance for any direction any of you may be able to give me.

David Spragg corrected me today, in that the CSQ mold was manufactured in 1947, so really the earliest the chips would have been produced would have been '47/'48, not the "30's & 40's" general time frame I had thought. Still, the 50's, 60's are still very interesting as far as a mold that is still in use today. Getting some chips from that era will still make the gift of these chips much more meaningful.

I have a few racks of vintage CSQs. If interested, I'm sure we can come to a reasonable deal. Feel free to PM.
