Royal Flush
In the short whirlwind time I've been here at PCF I'm so happy to announce that with this weeks mail I will have completed 8 out of 14 sets!! (14 sets, SICKNESS)
I will post in prOn when the final pieces arrive!
Completed are:
WTHC, Cash and Tournament 4000 +/- set
CDI 98's C/T 3500 +/- Set
BCC Martini Club C/T 4500 Set
Jack Cinci C/T 2600 Set
Riverside Granny's C/ 1000 Set
Pick Hobson Riverside/Overland C/ 4000 Set
Cloud X C/ 1500 Set
Holiday Casino Reno C/ 5000+/- Set
I'll continue to put together:
Santa Ysabel (Maybe)
Nevada Club (Maybe)
Casablanca Aruba
Mardi Gras V1 (Maybe)
and.... Isle Cape G
Now all the trackers know what's in the Vault (Well Not everything!)
Today I will sort through the finalists in the abandoned projects and remnants and list them in my vendor area. It has become somewhat controversial with some out here on the subject of Trade/Vs. Sell and chip value. It seems there is a great number of Items that are available for "Trade Only" these days, chips that have been purchased to solely incite trades etc.. this practice has now become more the norm vs. the exception IMO and I really don't have a problem with it but I do believe it has skewed the price of a lot of desirable chips to have hoards in the trade only vaults of those who don't even have a set of said chips. Like I say, it's only MHO and we know what opinions are like, just making an observation from seeing and trying for chips as well as many discussions about this practice.
When I signed on here around a short year ago some of the same people who were all about "Chips to the people" (don't collect em be gone with em), and profit is evil have certainly also been changed by the new trends I'm sure incited by the influx of newcomers. When you're sets are mostly complete it's easy to be a chips to the people guy!
The length of this is becoming @Ben8257 like! (Sorry buddy)! but I want to round out by saying this chipping community has been and will continue to be a good one! An invaluable resource of chip info and the definitive place to begin and continue the hobby, and yes a source of invaluable drama at times. I've met some very nice friends (Internet) along the way who I hope to someday meet up with in a game or at what will be my first Las Vegas Chip Convention, which I have volunteered to work the pick up table on That Friday afternoon so stop by and say hello! (Look for the Riviera Polo! LOL).
That all said I hope I was able to help fill some sets, complete others and bring outside chips to the "community" along the way! And a huge thank you to all those who have coached me along the way and helped me complete some EPIC (to me anyway) Sets and shared a LOT of great information. After all this time I still haven't ordered a custom set at CPC, that's coming next on the S-crown mold when available now that I finally settled in on a design!! cant wait to share! Heads Up! Game on! and Lets Play!
Thanks again Dan
