Ok y'all... my first effort at a table so go easy on me. Went with a Mandalorian/Star Wars theme, so if you're not a fan of that universe go ahead and ignore my references. Got custom felt and diffuser strip from @T_Chan help cover up my feeble skills as a craftsman (if you're on the fence on felt options... get it from Chanman. You won't regret). Props to all of you who build amazing tables - it's not as easy as it looks! Many mistakes were made on mine along the way (don't look too closely lol). That said, if you're ever in the Outer Rim Territories and looking for a game... we accept Galactic Empire credits, Republic credits, Beskar if you got it. And yes, that's Rancor skin for the rail (long story that involves an overweight crime lord and a false floor - perhaps another time).

Quite a learning experience and eventually I'll muster up the energy to try another one. For now, we'll do battle here.

This is the way :)

Very nice - now you need a CPC custom set to go along with it. This is the way.
Yes! That is on the agenda for sure. I bought a bunch of bronze/gold/silver republic/empire credits that can be used as higher value denoms (in place of plaques). A custom set would top the theme off really well.

Awesome table and very nice job on the rail, that vinyl is a gigantic pain in the ass to work with!

Great table! I'd consider getting slightly wider folding legs for more stability, but the table itself looks awesome. Congrats!

I bought some 3" wide x 1/4" thick aluminium bar stock. One day I'll get a CNC router and make my own Beskar. I think they'd be great for $100 plaques.

I echo what @Irish said. Nice job on the rail, especially for a first time builder. Most new builders opt for Whisper vinyl since it is the easiest to install.

Thanks! Yes, the rail vinyl was a MAJOR pain. I didn't know the difficulty level (lesson learned when my arms almost fell off). My thinking when I bought it was that the pattern would help cover up any mistakes I made. There is some bunching here and there, but it's contained to the very bottom of the rail and the pattern does help cover it up, so it's not too big of a deal. To make matters worse, all I have for a stapler is the manual silver one. Not only did I do the staples, but at least 2x I went around and pulled out many staples and re-pulled/stapled to get a more even line. I've never sweat so much in my life! But next time I will definitely use something that's easier to manipulate.

Thanks! I do plan on making (or finding/refinishing) a wood pedestal at some point...

Nice! I bought one on Etsy -- it's not aluminum but it has a pretty cool/solid feel to it. Aluminum would feel/sound absolutely epic. And I can confirm they make perfect plaques!
