Americans can’t say Glasgow (1 Viewer)

Just saw Joe Biden making an arse of saying “Glasgow”.

Any American I’ve met (apart from @One Eyed Dollar) says the “gow” part wrong*

It’s “gow” as in “show”

Not “gow” as in “cow”

If anyone sees Joe gonna tell him?

It does my f***ing head in!!

I actually knew this, but only because my grandmother owned a home in Maryland with the same name. It was built in 1760, predating the United Stars by 16 years. She ran it for about 20 years as a bed and breakfast. I didn’t know Glasgow was an actual place until high school. My grade school focused more on the Bible than geography.

Funn fact... I knew a girl from Dunbar who spoke perfect queen 's english. Only when drinking she started that lovely accent the rest of the Europe adores so much
