I really hate cold weather. I’m bitching about how cold and snowy and icy it is. Till @SeanGecko sent me his weather screenshot. LOL

So check in and give us a weather update from your location.

In the last 7 days we’ve had 2 ice storms with over an inch of accumulated ice and snow after both ice storms with 5-6 inches of snow altogether. We aren’t used to that in Lexington, KY.

Temps haven’t made it to freezing in a week. Lots of single digit lows overnight.

I know for some of you that’s an average February Tuesday.

So what do you have and share your location if you want.

God, I'm in idaho and our winter has been crap. I miss the real winters....

Friday looking brutal...

Yeah it's down to - 16 C in Poland. But good skiing conditions

NE Washington. Also crap.

Only had the snow thrower out once & haven't had to rake the roof even once this year. @David O @RowlettTexasChipGuy and many others in that neck of the woods have colder temps & more snow in their yards than we do here :wow:

I hate the cold, too. At least the mountains block the wind here.

Poor @SeanGecko , the only thing between him and Canada is a barbed-wire fence! :ROFLMAO:

I hate winter too. Last 3 weeks weve been below freezing, with last 2 weeks in the teens and single digits. Almost zero sun and 20mph winds. 2 snow storms, over a foot a snow.

2020 was the year of pandemic suck

2021 is turning out to be the year of the winter weather suck.

20 inches over 3 days in Arkansas. And 1" of ice last week. Going down to 6f again tonight.... yea. At least the snow has finally stopped.

I have witnessed a big change in the winters over my 52 years. A white Thanksgiving was not unusual when I was in school as a kid, now we are lucky to have a white Christmas. We have had multiple freezing snow/rain events for the past three winters, including this last snowstorm which turned to freezing rain before moving out.

Previously, such an ice storm was considered a once, maybe twice in a lifetime phenomenon. Last winter, we had three or four storms accompanied by warmer than average temperatures. Ice covered driveways, walkways and small business parking lots, leading to a number of older people suffering bone fractures. Thankfully, we did not experience any prolonged power outages.

Just as crazy, we have only had four snowstorms this winter. One in January and three this month, December and January's temperatures were what you would expect to have for November, early December. I joked with relatives in Florida that winter arrived in February this year.

Average annual snowfall here is 74 inches. We have had less than two feet this winter, with only five weeks remaining. Presently, we have less than six inches of snow on the ground.

Two doors down they are using heavy equipment to break up ledge for use as riprap to protect a century old railway line from rising sea-levels. A half a mile in the opposite direction, the state spread out several loads of granite riprap along the edge of the gravel road to the boat landing this summer to prevent further erosion from the lunar tides. This is the same boat landing that my grandfather used when he took my father and his brothers fishing during the fifties.

In short, it is colder in Texas, but warmer in Downeast Maine. And from where we are, I don't foresee that trend reversing itself, but at least we are taking steps to address it.

I am still keeping my fingers crossed here. Here in Buffalo NY we have a term called "lake effect snow". It is where a normal snow storm that drops three inches in Chicago goes across Lake Erie and drops three feet in Buffalo. Lake Erie hasn't froze yet. As long as the lake isn't froze over, lake effect is never out of the question.

I jest. I feel bad for the stories coming out of Texas. Clearly not equipped for this kind of weather. That said, I had to snowblow my deck the other day because the snow made it too easy for my dogs to jump the fence. Didn’t do much to stop them. Not when there are rabbits in the woods.

I’m from Michigan so we’re basically neighbors lol

Careful...the powers that be might think you're being "political" talking about climate/weather facts.

Been in the warm weather for a bit and I feel the change now but never did before.

We had snow and -10c last weekend...today it's almost 20c and sunny
