About 4 pm today it started raining inside my home! Edit: at least two pipes burst. Down stairs flooring is an fn loss. I know it’s probably not as bad as some people have had it especially considering Harvey in 2017 but it’s the first time it happens to me. So far no chips have been lost, though I did have to rescue a few sample sets and a barrel of protégés from falling water. Anyway I woke to all of this from napping and immediately got the water and power shut off. And starting shop mopping water outta my home. No telling how much the total loss will be after all is said and done. Didn’t and I don’t currently have any power so fans or shop vac is Anybody have an in with a remediation company in Tomball TX by any chance?

Anyway I know of a few of you that live around here and I hope all is well with y’all
Ercot and Centerpoint, Entergy etc should be held to reason for this. I figure they will will just blame it on Ercot and Ercot will just blame it on the the energy providers or TX legislative branch and no on will end up answering for this.

Stay safe you south Texans.

Clark out.

Man, I hate to hear all these stories. What a mess! Hope you get to the other side of this quickly.

Do you know why this keeps happening (not the power failure the finger pointing game)? This keeps happening because people keep accepting it. Don't accept it any longer.

Okay then maybe some other time no offense or please pm me. Right now I’m just trying to get my home repaired.

I'm in a similar boat but thankfully only a flooded basement (sump pump froze/failed) at our property in Jackson, MS. No running water going on 36 hours now, rolling blackouts.

Just out curiosity, why is anybody blaming anybody? Seems to me it is the weathers fault? These cities were simply not designed or built for this type of weather.

If you are desperate, maybe you could run a fan via a car? An inverter should be available at most hardware/big box stores.
Won't be efficient but better than nothing (maybe). Good luck, and I'm glad the Protege are safe.

Please contact your insurance agent. This likely is covered by your homeowner's policy. They will need to adjust the damages and help select the companies that will do the repairs. They might even put you up in a hotel for the duration if the damage is extensive enough.

You paid for this coverage. Use it! -=- DrStrange

It should be covered by insurance we’ll see. I’ve been running fans to help dry up damp insulation (what wasn’t already pulled from ceiling/subfloor by us). Still waiting on remediation company but have had electrician and plumber out so it’s just gonna be a step by step process. Saw the insurance adjuster on Sunday. So I guess the process of repair/renovation is under way.
As far as the blame game goes @bradiggy, I am too tired tonight but will respond later with my thoughts on that.

Everything is somebody else’s fault.
Either by direct action or inaction or indirect association somebody other than the impacted individual is responsible for everything that happens to the impacted individual.
There is no accountability anymore except by others. I’m not even responsible for the content of this email, the OP is. Anybody that takes offense with this take it up with them, don’t bother me because I’m blameless.

I don't know whether I agree or disagree with you.

Contacted my PR team. They tell me I should agree with you.

Oops! My lawyer says otherwise.

Now look at the dilemma you have put me in! How am I going to resolve this? What a mess! All I can say is I hope you are happy with yourself.
