sick kids during pandemic make Tim a dull boy

A couple weeks ago my 3yo daughter came down with croup which is nasty, barking dry cough etc. So we do the whole thing including her brain tickler covid test (which she crushed, btw) but resulted in a week home from daycare with both her and her 15 month sister being home with us because precautions and protocols.

We are lucky to be able to work from home and made it work but that week was hell on us and them.

A couple weeks go by and now the day before yesterday my 15 month old started showing signs of croup, so we’ve been watching her closely. Last night the rest of the house comes down with a cold and we’re staring down another week with a 3yo and 1yo home from their daycares and doing the whole song and dance again. (yes, daycares...sigh).

Doesn’t seem like COVID and the symptoms don’t line up but we’ll go get tested anyways of course. I’m not really complaining, just venting

This is all to say we’re having fun...:banghead: Thanks for your patience anyone who is waiting on work from me, it is much appreciated.

Family first and the proof u sent is amazing and deff no rush. Ty again!!

Our company has put in a two week leave package per quarter for anyone who has sick family at home be it COVID or the flu, etc.

Working from home with kids is a challenge. I've done it for 15 years. When it's school season, it's not too bad, but the summers can be brutal. Especially when the kids are your kids ages. Hang in there, lock the doors, and put disney + on repeat!!

Edit - and of course I wish you and your family the best of luck.

We’ve got a decent leave policy right now too, but that one is excellent!

Today is Family Day holiday in SK which is handy. Currently watching Emperor’s New Groove!

+1 on the Disney plus. I've got 2 of similar ages. Washable Pencil crayons and paper on an outdoor table cloth are your friend too. Kids will draw and make a mess for hours but if you can keep them in one area it's a relatively quick wipe down for everthing/everyone after the art session
