Custom dice (or other engraved stuff) (4 Viewers)

Cool to see that there is interest!

Whoever might be ready with their design (or at least has an idea that we can start with), drop me a pm and let's take it from there.

Also, if there are more people at the same-ish time, I can ship all together across the pond via FedEx (not terribly expensive, especially if split), if someone would help with reshipping locally.

If you already have the PCA stamps ready I can send you a PM for an order, but the silver tongue devils will be placed when @Quicksilver-75 is able to get a deasign formatted (no rush Steve, seriously) so my total order will likely be placed at the same time as his.
But if you're going to have other requests for PCA and want to run the stamp all at the same time I can give you my requests in advance

There's no stamp involved, each die is painstaikingly engraved by itself. It's really up to you, if you're not in a hurry then we can wait til we get STD from @Quicksilver-75 ;)

Awesome & Congratulations. Your work is exceptional, buyers will not be disappointed!

Only one way to find out. Might be too thin and detailed, but we can give it a shot (I can test on LEGO pieces).

Just measured the thickness of the rotary bit, it's 0.3 mm. That's the thinnest one I have.

STD - Silver tongue devil :meh:
Good thing you confirmed what you meant LOL - When I saw STD Head I didn't know what to think. It sounded like something I didn't want to see. Just like guys asking for BJs around here. It sounds like a backpages type of thing.

Sure, I'll give it a shot tomorrow (I'm in the wrong timezone compared to most of ya).

No rush. Is there a charge per design? I was just thinking I could also make a file for rounded text that would go on the “1” side around the pip.
I did consider charging per design given how much it takes to prep and test, but decided against that as I do this for fun and want it to be as accessible as possible. It will only be $2 extra per die for the actual final process.

definitely have a future interest :)
I received some PCA dice a few weeks ago...they are top notch.

And Matija, who I got to know pretty well last few months, is a great fella and a great catch for the EU chip community (after losing some great ones).
He ran a great first year, looking forward to many many more.

Cool! I’ll send some files for both the STD and SC dice with new proofs.

Here's a first draft, just to give you an idea. The designs are indeed very detailed for the relatively wide rotary bit. It is V-shaped, so the less depth the more detail (but less space for paint!).

My observations: 0.05 mm seems to be a tad too shallow, so I wouldn't opt for that. My clear favorite (if fill is not of utmost importance) would be to go for outlines only as it leaves us with most details and cleanest picture.

Also a note - it is really hard for a camera to take a realistic picture of the shiny gold paint. All of these look much better in reality, especially being very small (only 11/14 mm in width... that is 0.43/0.55" or whatever fractions you would make of it over there :) ).

I'm okay with outlines, either way looks good to me. I figure (for Ben and I)¹ they will be for display use 99% of the time. I'm also okay with which ever will be easier for you and have the best look

Wow! That’s pretty cool. Now I can see how the result looks I could tinker with the files a bit. For my own personal logo, I’d get rid of the boxes around the text. That would clean up the image quite a bit.
So cool. Not to put you out but, is there a silver paint that could be used? :)

Haha, hadn't even thought of that! As a matter of fact, there is ;)
