How Would You Rank Your Poker Experience? (2 Viewers)

Between solid and very good. :)

I'd say I'm a solid player. The thing about the game of poker is there is always something new to learn. If you don't continue to study you will fall far behind the pack.

I agree with this. I think that there is always something new to learn in the poker game. I think I am a solid poker game player for now.

Depending on the night I range from Novice + to Solid :)

I always felt like I was a solid player. When someone beats me, they are usually chasing when the odds are not in their favor.

Above solid, perhaps very good. Although I do play a lot of online poker, where you get many more hands to play per hour. So when playing offline I tend to become impatient and play overly loose, since every hand takes so much longer.

After reading a few books and really evaluating my play I've managed to win the last couple tourneys so I'm going to move my play to Solid + lol.

Nice Mr. Cheese. I recently started a new job and haven't been able to devote as much time to my poker game lately. Been playing pretty bad these past few weeks. Hoping to find some time to mix in some studying.

I would say I'm a solid player. Playing poker for a couple of years now. I'm a member of a local poker club and play around 50 tournaments per year. Read a couple of books and always willing to learn from hands played.

Just came back to this thread . . . I think that for those of us interested enough in the game to have something beyond paper cards and dice chips, our "ranking" would depend on the competition, as well. In games with my friends, I am a 4. In the games I play with other "poker" folks, I am probably a 2.

1. Novice

2. Solid

3. Very Good

4. Expert

I'd have to go with Very Good (#3). I'm experienced in multiple poker disciplines (Hold Em, Omaha hi/lo, Omaha, Stud, Stud 8 or better, Badugi, 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball, Pineapple, Crazy Pineapple, Lazy Pineapple, 5 Card Draw, 5 Card Stud)

My best would be Omaha hi/lo fixed-limit cash games, followed by Stud hi/lo, Badugi and 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball. For tournaments I only consider myself skilled at NL Hold Em, my mixed cash game skillset doesn't transition to the tournament format unfortunately.

I would say solid but it seems I haven't been able to play much lately and I can tell I am slipping closer to Novice.
