Just another idiot needs help with his Tchan build. *Updated* (1 Viewer)

Last thing, do you find this table hard to reach across? it doesn't seem big at all in the middle, looks like good sightlines to me.

Not sure what goes on at other games, but if all the chips end up to far away from the pot winner; our players are typically happy to push them towards said winner :D

I'd say don't overthink it if possible, people are going to love the fact of there being a proper table available to play on.

Well, after playing on the ex rental (what an awesome table!), I’ve decided bigger is better.
Probably 46 x 84 or 48x80.

last nights 8 person game was comfortable on the 42x84, but not overly big, so for 6 it’s perfect. I’d like more space for 8 when it happens.

this is at my friends place, so I’ll have more space than that to work with.

More updates.
Decided on 48” x 84”
Leather rail no cupholders
Thinking burgundy with brass betting line/graphics.
brass coloured raised rail

now the questions:
do I get a bill slot? I often do rebuys at the table and this could be handy
chip drawer? Same reason as abo
Dealer cutout? we’re usually self dealt, but last game I dealt and had others shuffle For me, I liked it as I could keep action moving, would a dealer cutout be required if I do this often?

also attached: pics of my newest inspiration, as well as the swatches from my visit to Tony’s place today (felt for reference only, lines will be gold/brass)

This is for a dedicated table, right? If you need to fold it away, then no slots, trays, or drawers. If table is on solid permanent base, then add whatever you would like. You can put a chip drawer and cash box in a dedicated side table with casters, too.

Figured I'd update it here as well as in my Custom Chip thread. About to go off to print.

Ended up going with 48'x84"

Any suggestions before it's finalized? I think it's damn near perfect... just like the handsome players playing around it will be.

So did you decide to go with a chip drawer? Bill slot? I would consider putting a dealer cut-out if you have these accessories in your table. On the top, so the dealer reads the main text upside-down.

No I haven’t decided that yet, all of the games are self dealt but honestly I do prefer dealing for everyone because it keeps the game moving. I’d love the idea of being able to do rebuys at the table though.

I would keep it simple and save my money for good chairs and side carts for drinks AND for a chip case / bank etc.
Very good-looking, btw.
I 'm curious about the dimensions. 48x80in would have sufficed for 9 players. By going to 84, you want imperial seaating for 9 or the possibility to have a 10th person, somewhat cramped?

Most of our games are 6 max, with the odd 8 person game. I’ve done 9 at my 42x84 and it was too cramped. Even 8 was too cramped. I decided to go bigger as I have the space and all of my regulars are 6’+.

personally I don’t like anything more than 7 for a social game. 6 max is my favourite.

I’m leaning away from the chip drawer (tray was the wrong word, I’d never do a tray), but more towards a cutout as I’d love to incorporate a dealer one day.

“Satchel” sounds like a manly way to say “Fanny pack”! ;)
I know, it's a bit unconventional, but it's this guy here...and it's worn ever so comfortably around the shoulder. My games have run smoothly and i've never had a cash discrepancy. You don't even know it's on, and the zippers can be locked shut
