First ever set! (3 Viewers)

Didn't move there. Just bought the town with the proceeds from selling Pillage and Plunder samples, then renamed it. :cautious:

Hell, I'd have given him all my shares of the town for just one of these:

Looks like a nice fun set of chips to me, I like them. With the varied denominations I would suggest more of each chip or constant change making all night will become annoying. Still the artwork is great buy more.

My friends and I are in our young/mid 20s and have been getting really into poker in recent months (micro stakes cash games)
Holy sh!t someone my age

Welcome brother, don't know how I missed this
Okay, can't hold back any longer.

Having many chip denominations in play is very inefficient from a game play perspective. It makes evaluating player stack sizes more difficult, it makes counting pots more difficult, and it makes constructing bets more difficult.
@BGinGA can sometimes give "tough love," but he fails to recognize people our age are more interested in evaluating rack sizes and smoking pots than whatever he's worried about.

Anytime you're in NYC you have a seat at a game with some good dudes @Camerasniper

Hey, some of us old guys appreciate a good sized rack as well the next guy. Especially a topless one. Never was much for those Matsui’s. Give me a nice, full topless rack any day of the week.

If it's age you're on about, then grumpy grandpa BG's advice should be heeded twice over. Double your lifetime of messed up pots, erroneous all in calls, fights at the table, and wasted money on gear. There's a reason that most of us who host games try to mirror a set of standardized rules - in the past we've seen it go bad quickly, and that shit sucks.

Call it efficient, or nitpicky, or whatever you want, but people who pass DOWN advice (not offering it, telling it) do so because in the long run there's a right way to run a game, and you'll end up with more headache than fun if you do it "your way".

I wholeheartedly agree, I value and appreciate BG's input literally always (and have actively sought it out once or twice). Like I said, I just saw the opportunity to make a tits n weed joke and posted it before I had read the rest of the thread  :ROFLMAO:

I will never apologize for making a tits n weed joke, but I will apologize for accidentally resurrecting bullsh!t lol
