I bought some Fournier cards on eBay that were sold as Fournier plastic washable cards and came in damaged packaging that said Fournier washable 100% all plastic playing cards.
What I received inside that packaging were two individually wrapped Fournier plastic coated paper decks.
I messaged the seller when I received them (this morning) but haven’t heard back yet.
I’m just wondering what’s supposed to happen here. Should I expect a 100% refund? Should I have to pay to ship them back?

You’re in luck... you’re a buyer. Just file a complaint through eBay requesting a refund. Only do this after it is obvious the seller has no intention of fixing the situation.

To answer your question... expect to be made whole... you may have to ship them back... but again, expect to be made whole.

I thought this was going to be a thread about how eBay has screwed sellers... I’ve got some stories on that topic.

Sorry @Shaggy my subject line was confusing - I fixed it.
And that’s good to hear, thanks. We’re talking about a matter of $17, so I’m not going to lose any sleep. Just my first time down this road, so I’m curious.

Well that all depends on how the seller reacts. For al I know, the seller thought he was selling what he said he was selling.
Irrelevant - I am not saying he is bad (it may be exactly what you are saying here) but if he doesn't know what exactly he is selling then how can you ever know what exactly you are buying from him? I couldn't buy from him again.

I see your point. That’s certainly how I approach things as a seller - I need to know my shit. But if, (as a buyer from a suspect seller) eBay really has my back 100%, what would I have to lose?

Time and patience - not to mention you probably passed over a similar listing that actually was what you wanted in favor of this one.

I'm curious, can you link the sale?

Damn, I'm sorry :(

Even the photos show disrepair of the merchandise
No big deal. If I had to guess, I would have guessed I was getting exactly what I got. But I figured it was worth a shot - if those really were plastic fourniers with that back, that would have been cool, and totally worth the price (which was actually an accepted offer of $16.50.)
