All the “rate this inlay” threads have made me realize that great chip covers a multitude of inlay sins. Frankly, most of them are mediocre at best.

What are some examples of truly great standalone inlays on actual casino chips?

I 'll state this here, but I 'm afraid I 'll have to repeat this in related threads too:
Most casino labels (understandably for the older ones, when graphic design and printing were way behind) are vastly inferior to the labels made by inspired members here, for their home custom sets. :)

A favorite of mine is the Bahamia series, probably one of the best oversized inlays -- nice large denom, good use of large graphics, & maybe the best use of actual photos on chips.

Although I think they ran out of the budget for their graphic design once they got up to the $25. (It's kind of lame that they just used the same flower for the $100 and $500, just with different colorization.)

For modern inlays. Paris is my favorite, and not far behind them are the Aria/Bellagio (probably why you see so many tributes)

Old school tropicanas with the fountain are delicious

I guess I never thought of a "favorite" personally I'm weird though. I either like very simplistic, just enough to convey the establishment and denomination, or I like images on certain ones. I'm a big fan of the PNY chips and the Bahamia chips above. So its one or the other for me. I'm a huge PCA fan obviously and while I love the shaped inlays I do think the text on the chips could use some sizing revamps. I don't wanna have to squint to see where they came from...maybe its my old man eyes.

Upon further reflection, for casino chips, my US vote would go to Harrah's New Orleans:

...and my international (and overall) vote for the elegant simplicity of Divi Carina in St. Croix:

I'm gonna have to agree on the Harrah's New Orleans as well. Those are nice chips. I love inlays that really show the spirit of the town like that.
