Hate to make a thread just for this, but wasn’t here and couldn’t locate via search.

Can someone let me know where and when all the aztar chips came onto our market? Maybe link original sales? Thanks!

And yes I’m guessing thechiproom and all that, but can’t find/nothing comes up?

Don’t know if there was a diff username pre 2018 or sold elsewhere.

Just a bit before 2018 lol

If my memory serves they were right around 2008-2009 from the chiproom

And both offered on CT, long before the PCF migration. You won't find threads here.

Thanks all for the replies!

Just out of curiosity, could someone share general pricing of these back then?

Just so I can go look in the mirror and shame myself for not chipping at 24 :)

If I remember correctly they were the first oversized $1000 Jim brought to market.

Edit: never mind, forgot about the grand vics

Both primary and secondary chips, from September 2013:

$1 - 0.35
$2.50 - 0.50
$5 - 0.30
$25 - 0.35
$100 - 0.70
$500 - 5.00
$1000 43mm - 5.00
Thats.....thats real. Wow. That is really really cool, it makes sense when seeing a lot of these sets and collections from more veteran chippers. Thanks for the info BG!

Anyone else wish their parents conceived about a decade earlier?

Not me. But I do wish I got into chipping a decade earlier :/

While we're on the subject, anybody have any idea how many racks of the secondary caruthersville $1's exist?

I forgot how cheap the $1000’s were initially

Yeah, but didn't really seem so at the time, given prices of the other chips. Purchase quantity was limited to 50 chips each.

Very true, I miss those chip prices. And the 50 chip limit reminds my why I don’t have a full rack. I always told myself I would finish it eventually but never really play tournaments and when I do I use my Empress anyway.

Grand Victoria chips came to market in 2012, about a year before the Aztar Evansville chips. Aztar Caruthersville were released in 2008.
