I’m finally reclaiming my basement and building my poker room/bar/man cave.

I have an idea for the chips I want but need someone to take my idea and run with it.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

@Johnny5 is my favorite.
@p5woody does amazing work, and I hope to work with him someday.
@timinater has done some work for me, and is wonderful to work with. I'm coming up for our second project together.

Alot of amazing designers here.
Lol I knew someone would tag those 3 right way so I let someone else have the honors.

All 3 of those designers are excellent

Forreal, dawg? You gotta get a set going with Woody. he's done some great work with my set and I think whatever idea you have he'll do a stellar job.

I've never seen any of @Johnny5 's work
Oh yes you have.

Simply look in the custom poker chip hall of fame and you'll discover that over 75% of those sets were designed by J5.

He has also designed dozens of group buy sets, several NAGB sets, plus many high-profile stock sets for retailers, including many of the designs used for Paulson's home market sets.

His designs are plastered all over this site. You've seen 'em, but maybe just didn't know it. :)

In that case, I'll have to talk to him when/if I design custom set number 2. Like I said earlier, when I started Midnight Casino, I tried to seek advice before I even started the inlays, and the advice I got was to talk to Tim or Woody, and now I'll have to lurk the Hall of Fame chip thread to see his handiwork. :)

Here is some more advice, particularly if you are wanting J5 Designs with a CPC order. J5 is always in high demand. There are only so many hours in the day so it could take quite awhile until he has time. Decide what mold you want, how many chips and contact David Spragg at CPC to get an estimate on when your mold will run. Then submit an order to CPC. It is very possible to adjust quantities, colors, spots a bit but know that they need lead time...a couple months before no changes can be made. Pay the moneys. J5 and David communicate regularly and your spot in the CPC queue can move you up the line particularly if the order is not on A mold (it is always in the presses) Some mold run maybe twice a year.

p5woody is also in demand and there are times he isn't able to take on work. The above comments also apply for p5.

Both of these guys have done, chips, labels, dealer buttons, cards, and custom table cloths (Chanman tables) for me. I've been 100% satisfied every time.

Yeah, you have. Scarlets Room is a J5 work. I'd say he had a good chunk of the legendary designs here between him, Toby, and p5woody. AS I believe is a J5 work....

Tell you what Josh. You go to Woody for your next design and I'll hit up Johnny when my 2nd idea, my original idea from 2016, The Starlight Lounge gets some legs. :) I don't mind waiting because this design, Midnight Casino is exactly what I thought it would be. I asked the Wood-man to make a set that would make a 20 year old look at it and say "I gotta get me one of those" and the consensus of opinion is I did exactly that.

Great chip inlay theme, just sayin'.
Pen Zen :cool
