The advice I read repeated ad nauseam: get samples! So I did. Also found this sweet chip storage thing on the local Facebook yard sale group for only $25. Each row holds ~90 chips.

What’s the initial verdict(s)?
Before I got the sample set from @allforcharity I was learning towards the Dunes CC. After handing the paulson's they feel cheap. Both my wife and I loved the bud jones big easy casino chips and I've ordered a cash set of those. Still trying to decide on a tournament set. Might end up with dunes or majestics because my wife isn't keen on me spending much more on chips right away.

ETA- I'm interested in the sun fly group buy, love the design and look, but a little hesitant unless I can get my hands on some samples. I mostly liked the ceramics, I think the label would improve the feel for me.

Are you going to do an inlay replacement for those orange roulettes? It's not difficult (just a bit time consuming), and Gear already has the art formatted and ready for that exact type of chip.

That's the plan! Might mill the tournament set as well, but I have a bunch of projects already to do this summer so that might be next year.
