Just wanted to share my experience with international shipping. A gentlemen from Germany bought a rack from me recently and the shipping process took literally less than 3 minutes. I just don't understand members reluctance to ship international FOB. It shouldn't be an us against them thing … Lets open up this forum to allow International members full access to the chips being offered for sale … It will only help to increase the market and chip prices. Ship International FOB - It's really not a big deal.

I almost always offer international shipping with anything I sell. Maybe you could elaborate on the "FOB" shipping? I usually just ship USPS is this with another carrier?

BTW, I have no problem with international shipping but completely understand why some wouldn’t want to
The only thing I don't like are the customs forms. Every country has different rules. I try to help people avoid as much VAT as possible but it sometimes gets to be a pain. I try my best. Only time I avoid it is if something I'm selling I want to move and ship quickly.

City life with no car makes international shipping a pain in the ass for me but I still offer it most of the time.

I’ve lost money by underquoting international shipping costs so now I have to package the chips, carry a big, heavy ass package down to the post office, get a quote, carry the package back home and risk the possibility of doing all that just for the sale to fall through if shipping is too much.

That hasn’t happened yet, but it’s still a risk I take.

Part of the issue is the additional risk of items being held up or lost in customs or hand off between postal services.

BTW is international shipping currently running smoothly? It seemed for a little while like things were being held at borders.

International shipping from the US takes more than 3 minutes. With international shipping i have to stand in line and ship via a PO clerk. That can take 20 minutes to an hour.

I got a Sample set from Apache, within the last couple weeks; took just over a week to receive. No problems at all.

In Manitoba, north of ND.

From now on when I ship anything out of the Country I need to do a customs form on the Canada Post website. Pretty smooth for the most part. And I agree that the biggest issue is VAT. The last small set of chips I sent to Germany, the member asked me to keep the value under $20.00. Which was simple since there were only 25 chips or so and some of Gear's labels. Biggest fear I have is the loss of product.

Across the US/CAN border I think is fairly simple. Once a package has to go or come from overseas, unless you are willing to pay extra for tracking, there will be anxiety.
And what did Apache send you? We need pics.

USPS.com All the quotes (Calculate a Price) I get are from there for International. Sometimes I'll screen shot it and send it to interested buyer. They can either accept the shipping cost or not.

I basically do the same thing, occasionally there is a slight difference (mainly because of my shitty scale) but its just at most a few cents and I just swallow that most times.

Non-Flat rate boxes right I assume?

Personally I wouldn’t recommend shipping anything USA to Europe atm. It seems several members, including myself, are experiencing severe delays. I personally still have 3 packages on route from the USA, two which have received no updates since mid-March and one high value package that has no updates since the start of April. All are sitting in USPS hubs.

I did receive one small package two weeks ago that was also shipping mid-March. However, as everyone else is experiencing the same thing, I’m not too worried (yet). It could very well be that things are being quarantined atm on both sides of the export and import process. Even domestic shipping here is delayed vs. normal.

Yes, current restricted air travel means packages aren't going out internationally with the same speed as before. And postal entities like Canada Post will not allow (or are barred from using) piggy-back operations on third party courier flights like FedEx or Purolator or whatever.

Outside of this, during normal times, I have never ever had a problem with International shipping. 95% of my stuff has crossed at least one border, and not a single package lost. With shipping quotes direct from the website, and printable labels, it's super easy. The biggest hassle for me is getting the boxes, which is really not a hassle at all.

I appreciate anyone shipping international. I understand if someone doesn’t want to invest the additional effort. What I in general avoid is to buy from sellers that refuse to ship outside country but then change mind when they cant move their chips. Seen stuff go couple hundreds $ lower where I would have paid startprice. Special thanks to those who offered to reship stuff seen on eBay. If someone needs similar help from Switzerland let me know.

You could order the boxes and postage online and have the package picked up :)

What I don’t understand are these threads. Free country and all but there’s already a half dozen threads and discussions on here devoted to this. Anyone with an opinions has chimed in ten times and all points from everything possible direction have been made. I get people have more time on their hands now but I think it could be better spent trying to crack GPI’s yellow clay formula. :whistling:

Okay, let's change topic. What's the best breakdown for a 0.25/0.50 game?
