Hey everyone, new guy here and I've been reading all the different cleaning methods. My wife and her friends love essential oils and she suggested I use Thieves as a cleaner for my Paulson Classic chips since it's a good de-greaser. It's a concentrated solution so I mixed with warm water, let the chips soak for 3-5 minutes and them hit them with a medium bristle scrub brush. It seemed to work pretty good and without any harsh chemicals that could damage the chips.

Sounds like overkill unless you are cleaning absolutely filthy crusty chips.
How is it overkill? Just a different cleaning option that seemed to work compared to dish soap, or oxy, or an ultrasonic, that people use for normal cleaning.

Seems a bit pricey. Actually, outlandishly expensive, with no associated gain in productivity or effectiveness.

You shilling?

My wife has a bottle of thieves oil hand soap in the kitchen... It has a distinct smell. Not bad, not chemically, but a distinct smell nonetheless. Not sure I'd want my chips smelling of thieves oil.

It definitely has a smell while they are soaking and cleaning them. But once I rinsed them and they dried there was no lingering smell at all.

It's a concentrated solution, so I only used a few ounces to mix with water and I used it for 1,000 chips. I did my first 1,000 using the oxy/dish soap mixture.

Not trying to cause any waves here, just found an alternative option for cleaning and thought I would share with everyone. Didn't expect so much backlash........

Maybe it's the product name. Gut-level responses might be different for Angels or Butterflies. :D
