So, im in the market to buy my first tournament chip set & have been looking around at various places. I dont have all the money in the world so im working with a budget, which = no fun in my eyes! Lol...

I suppose im looking for some recommendations?
Places ive looked thus far:

- Apache
- Sun-Fly
- Discount Poker Shop
- BR Poker
- Poker Chip Lounge
- Key West
- Classic Poker Chips
- Amazon (Go figure)

Along with several others I cant think of at the moment. Help, advise is appreciated!

I only ordered one set from sunfly, a lucid diamond tournament set. The chips are great, service and shippment was fast but expensive. If you want to know more let meknow

Everybody's working on a budget. That said, what is your budget, what sort of tourney structure, and how many people to play? Chip efficiency is the key.

More than likely around 10+ players (with one rebuy), but id rather have to much than not enough. Would get $25, $50, $100, $500, $1000, $5000, $10,000 & some $25ks (Use the 10k & 25k to color up). Im trying to stick to &0.20-$0.40 a chip. Just need somethiong for now, to cure my "fix"!

Skip the 50 and the 10,000.

I'm assuming you're starting at 25/50 blinds. Why 25K? If you're doing a T10K structure, you could get away with about 300 chips, Can go to 400 chips if you want more low denoms and less change-making.

At 0.40 per chip or less, your options are fairly limited. I would go as cheap as possible, and count that as a total loss, and in the meantime save up some money until you can get to at least 0.65+ to get into keeper sets or custom territory.

Thats true & was thinking about just ditching the $25s. The $25k is more less just for the "thrill" of it or if there was more players, not truly needed.
