After reading through a number of threads on limit set breakdowns (1-2 chip / 2-4 chip / 3-6 chip), I'm curious how the PCF community would tackle this situation:

In Ontario, the lowest limit game available in a casino is $2/$5 -- blinds are $1/$2, but the turn and river bet is in $5 increments. When the kill is introduced on the table ($50 pot pre-rake), it becomes a $5/$10 game for that round.

Assuming a standard 1-table game, how would you build a set to accommodate these (unique/crazy/stupid) betting guidelines?

200 - $1's
600 - $5's
200 - $25's

I would start with this set. Depending on your players chip IQ you may need an extra rack of $1's to keep the game moving. Having a couple racks of $25 will allow you to accommodate 10-15 re-buys without overloading your table with $5 chips. Alternatively you could accomplish the same with 50 - $100's. Just depends on your players. My average player can't handle more than 100 chips without slowing the game down.

Wouldn't this play more like a 2/4 limit game than a 2/5 NL? For 2/4, you'd want a shit load of $1s and some $20s. Maybe some $10s would be a good compromise to support the kill bets?

800 - $1s
400 - $10s
100- $100s if needed for bank

Definitely tons of $1s and a lot of $20s.

Option 1 (minimum needed to run the game effectively imo, assuming 8-max):

600 $1
160 $20
40 $100

Option 2 (comfortable amount of workhorse chips and won't require a lot of coloring up):

1500 $1
300 $20

And of course the more workhorse chips the better, so if you can just get 2k $1s you'll have plenty.

EDIT: But if you're looking to put together a limit set at those approximate stakes, $2/4 or $4/8 is a much more commonly spread game and you could snap up a huge set of casino $2s and $25s for very, very cheap.
