Hi guys,

Hoping you can give me some guidance. I'm a playing card creator and I'm working to put together a high quality boxed poker set. I've been searching the forum and have found some great info, but I'm not sure where I would be best to go for quality custom clay chips. I'd like a reasonably high end result. Would anyone have advice there? Would really appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks in advance :)

There can be only one.

Classic Poker Chips

You guys are great thanks, sounds like CPC is the one. Sure, would be open to label design as well. If there is a chip design at the top of your list let me know.

Haha think that's about right. Sure there are few few differing opinions, same in the card design forums. But this is where the experts are huh? ;)

This thread is a good threat to start with as far as custom chip sets go.

If you have the time, go to poker chip pron section and start at the back and work your way forward

Here is another great thread HOF 2015

And then there is this little gem

Not all options for custom chips in these threads are still available as some manufacturers have go out of the game in one way or another.

Once your finished with all that browsing there is the poker chip design tool link at the top of the forum.

There are some great designers available to hire for custom label design but I will let someone else post their details because I don't know all there user names here

Ha well hoping to design myself to fit with the new deck design, so guess I'll need to change my name to Rick5.. Looking like an expensive project :)

Custom ceramics can be a great more affordable option, as well as customizing blank "China" compression clay chips like the milanos or CPS chips with custom labels. That said, CPCs are the best you can get.

The ceramics are tempting for the design options but looks hard to beat CPC for quality and authenticity. Beautiful chips in the links above. And love the sound ;) Was hoping for a custom mold but think I read here that was in the range of $2500 if at all? One thing, the labels. Does anyone know if the standard labels are hot pressed or adhesive with CPC?

Custom mold not an option with CPC (would be in excess of 20K, if they'd even agree to do it at all). CPC inlays are compression-molded, pressed into the chip at high temp/pressure.

20k divided by x is still a massive premium, and everyone would have to be able to want the new mold. I think if the demand was large enough for a new mold, CPC would probably just make it.

IMO they should make a better TH&C style mold then jockey though.

Like the chances of X chippers all agreeing on a new mold design is ever gonna happen.

Dunno why you think they need a new one, anyway...... can't find one you like out of the dozen or so they already offer?

I talked to Michael Dambach about it when he first bought ASM. His initial estimate was $10k. Turns out he was off by 100%. Even at 10k, I was priced out.
