PCF Fantasy Football (DRAFT SAT AUG 20 @ 8:00PM EST) (3 Viewers)

I honestly think if rainman doesn't find a buyer he will manage his team to the best of his ability. I don't think he would abandon his team. I think he just won't post anything in this thread. Just the feeling I get from his posts.

I hope you're right. I'd hate to lose you on Team Chicken.

On a completely different note, do not take off your shirt in a kitchen with a ceiling fan that is only 6 foot. Ouch! My thumb hurts like hell and is a little swollen. # dumbass

Straight up quitting would be a -EV move and one can insinuate through his postings that he wouldn't knowingly make such a move. Although the statistics he posted imply he has the best team of the bunch so surely selling at the same price point he bought in for would theoretically be -EV as well, yeah? Therefore the math suggests he should put on his big boy pants, grow some thicker skin and play the game.

I'll stick around if I get enough side action, but so far have had no takers. I don't really see myself participating much further if $50 is all I have on the table in this league.
I'll get the ball rolling by offering $100 for total points over the course of the year plus $50 heads up whatever week(s) we face off in the league (no idea what week it is or if it's more than once, ESPN leagues are so hard to navigate compared to Yahoo).

Are you questionable for week one then?

Or is that illegal now? I think I heard that they ( whoever that is) is doing away with probable this year.

Bridgewater out for year with non-contact ACL from drills today. This actually hurts me quite a bit with AP. Defenses are going to put 14 players in the box now and make whoever the backup QB is beat them in the air.

(Just looked - Shaun Hill is their backup. He's 36 years old and was serviceable 2 years ago with STL, but played a combined 5 games in 2011-2013 and only had 7 passing attempts last year total).

And this is why I didn't pick you. You're fantasy cursed.

Phaze, you are sorely lacking an avatar. I am providing one for you free of charge. Please incorporate it as soon as possible.

Hey, How do waivers work in the ESPN leagues. I see I'm number 2 in line. After week 1 is there a period of time that number 1 has and we go down the line? Do you have to dump a player first? Sorry for the rookie questions. I have

You can trade him for Gore maybe. Maybe I'd give you Duke Johnson for him too. Come on bergs. Father time or a Brown starting for you? Think of the possibilities...

I think waivers start after week 1. You put claims in from Monday night to Tuesday night and on Wednesday morning the waiver acquisitions happen.

If you are the 2nd waiver slot and I am third, and we both wanted to pickup Calvin Johnson (OMG he was great last year!!) then you would get him given your higher position on the waiver wire.

If you seek to pickup multiple waiver acquisitions, use caution. If you put Johnson in as your second waiver wire choice, you wouldn't get him. You'd get your first choice and I'd get Calvin in the #3 slot, and your new waiver wire position would be 9th or 10th (depending on whether the owner in the first waiver wire position for that week made an acquisition).

Players clear waivers late on Wednesday and you're free to pickup who ever you want whenever you want until their game time.

Also, when someone gets dropped from a roster, they are placed on waivers for a couple days before they become a free agent (if unclaimed).

I sold my team to @GrumpyCatMalaka

I invited him to join as a co-manager of my team. I think I can be removed once he joins. PM me if there are any issues and I'll do what I can to get them sorted out.

Good luck everyone

Tough break. You've gone from being only 3 miracles away from being competitive to now being 4 miracles away from being competitive. But hey, you drafted 5 handcuffs, so you should still be good! You got this! (y)

I guess we'll never know, because you're a fucking pussy and sold your team.

I guess that's up to Tommy. Based on my previous experiences here, I'm going with 'no'.

But feel free to bash away... here are my two fucks: fuck, fuck

Maybe my team sucks, maybe not. We'll see. All else being equal, I'd personally prefer that you stay out of this thread and shut the fuck up. You don't get to talk smack when you a) get upset because nobody sucks your dick and likes your posts, b) get butt hurt at the smack talk, and c) quit and sell your team.

Seriously, just fucking go away.

Sorry your torn labia kept you out of what will be a very fun league.

I should've expected this, in retrospect. It's perfect for RainMan. If Jeff leads his team to victory he can take credit for drafting the ultimate mathematical juggernaut. If Jeff doesn't win, he can just blame Jeff. The ultimate passive aggressive move from the ultimate passive aggressive guy. I should've just invited Malaka from the outset and saved Tommy the drama here.

Honestly his (former) team isn't as good as he thought it was. His first three picks were good, but after that he didn't draft great at all. His bench is atrocious.

Upon further review, your team sucks. That is all.

@GrumpyCatMalaka welcome to the league. As you can see, the previous owner left it so you have a lot of work cut out for you, but I have no doubt with a little grit and determination you'll be able to field at least a somewhat competitive team.
TBH as I read through the thread, I didn't like the Gore pick. But as a do more research, alot of pundits have Gore as a decent value pick. #FranktheTank #GoynetogetGored
