Chip leader...on a massive heater, before and right after first dinner break. Start stack is 5k. Photo shows ~65k. Unfortunately, I lost a big flip at final table with AA vs. 66, villain makes a set of 6s on the flip. And, the blinds+antes run me into the ground, finishing 4th of 183.

Found a fun $60 tourney in Tahoe, feels like a home game, everybody knows each other. Non traditional colors, but I kinda love the hot stamp chips. 12k deep stack, up quite a bit

We have that tuesday nights at our casino in Kelowna, deepstack tourney, 12k starting stacks, usually 2-3 tables... good fun, wish the buyin was a little lower though, $100 is a bit of money for me!

a close friend went through a bad breakup thursday so naturally, a few of us decided on a vegas turnaround. though i didn't get to play poker given the limited time we were there (and i apologize for the non-poker post), i sat with $500 and left with a little over $4500 (i won the hand pictured) in roughly 30min haha.
i'll be returning to vegas friday for the WSOP Crazy Eights tournament and will be playing a lot of cash as well so i'm hoping to crush and continue the heater i've been on so far this year

Yeah, Lakeside inn in south lake/state line they run tourneys most nights, a bunch of locals, fun crowd and cool chips.

Grosvenor Casino, in Coventry - Ricoh Arena.
How is it? The Grosvenor here has really gone down here, most gravitate to Rendezvous now.
Personally, I don't like the casino. I've only been there, for the sake being in the Redtooth Poker League Regionals. I've been there a few other times, for cash tables, and the dealers aren't very good. The cash table in the pit area doesn't have a camera feed, and the dealers are very inexperienced. So, getting a fair ruling is very rare.
Lately, I've been going to Leicester (picture above). The games are better, and the tables alone are better. Also, there's two levels with its own bar, so that's always a plus. However, the poker room is smaller, the dealers are still inexperienced, and tournaments are rather ill-defined. However, there's a dedicated camera to each table, and the floor manager is way cool. Also I enjoy the atmosphere, and cash table promos early in the week are good. Monday and Tuesday offer early bird free meal tickets before 9pm, and there's a 'rake-free hour' card draw going around the table, which is nice if you're on a heater. Furthermore, I cannot complain about to claim a badbeat bonus, which I'm awaiting the results this evening.
